Homer Hudson is a brand of ice cream developed by Lawrence Vincent, an employee of Unilever, in the 1980s. His plan was to develop a rich ice cream comparable to the Australian market leader, Häagen-Dazs.
The brand was discontinued by Streets in 1998 and relaunched in 2004 with two new flavours: Cherry Virgin and Beyond Fudge Brownie, in addition to old favourites Chocolate Rock and Hoboken Crunch.
In Australia, the ice cream is sold in Domino's Pizza, Coles supermarkets, Woolworths supermarkets and Caltex service stations.
Various other products, such as Chocolate Love Tarts and Tiramisu were available in Woolworths/Safeway, but along with the ice cream, they are no longer stocked.
Around August 2009 the recipe of the Chocolate Rock was changed from a rich dark chocolate to a creamy milk chocolate.
